The Heart of New Ulm

[KARE11, Oct. 31, 2008] New Ulm was recently chosen to take part in a first-of-its-kind health project that could have worldwide implications.

It’s called the “Heart of New Ulm,” and its goal is to reduce the number of heart attacks from 85 in 2007 to zero by 2018.

Allina and the Minneapolis Heart Institute are spearheading the project and will pour several million dollars into the town for the 10-year experiment. Watch the story below and read more at
