New FDA rules to give patients more info after breast cancer screenings

[WCCO-TV, April 08, 2019] The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is proposing a new rule to require health care providers tell women if they have dense breast tissue after a mammogram. Dense tissue make it harder to detect breast cancer.

Dr. Trudi Parker, a radiologist with Allina Health's Piper Breast Center, supports new FDA regulations. β€œIt will allow patients to have access to good clinical information regarding breast density,” Parker said.
