Cervical cancer screening saves lives

[KARE 11, January 25, 2019] More than 13,000 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer this year and more than a quarter of those women will die from the disease. Yet, with screenings and vaccines, cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers today.

Dr. Emily Prendergast is an oncologist with Allina Health and she talked with KARE 11 News about why screening is crucial to catching the disease early.
