Allina’s Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute hosts national wheelchair basketball tournament

[KSTP-TV, Nov. 3, 2018] A wheelchair basketball tournament is attracting some of the top teams from across the country to the Twin Cities area.

The 36th Annual Courage Kenny Classic kicked off Saturday at Hastings High School. Organizers said the goal of the basketball program is to promote teamwork and competition.

Beka Bickel works for Allina Health’s Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. She’s the director of the tournament. Bickel says athletes from 6 to 18 years old are playing in this weekend’s tournament. The teams come from five different states, including Minnesota.
