[MPR News, October 29, 2018] Traditional school Halloween celebrations are going away in favor of more educational activities in some schools and that's not sitting well with some parents. In one school, an E-STEM day—that's environmental education, science, technology, engineering and math, is taking its place.
Allina Health child and teen psychologist Dr. Meghan Miller says there has been a cultural shift around how to talk about differences. That can include holidays at school, and whether to preserve, drop or adapt traditional celebrations.
